A Few Consecutive Rest Days...
I am headed to Lake Tahoe for work for the next 5 days and plan on using this time to recover and giver body much needed rest. There are a few local CF Affiliates in the area so I am going to have to resist the urge to sneak in a WOD. Probably back at it on Friday July 22.

No Training & Paelo Diet Observations....
I am taking today off from training. I plan on doing Crossfit tomorrow and kettlebell work on Saturday. The Paelo Diet is going well so far. I feel good and have been pretty strict. I am anxious to see how it effects my performance and recovery.
The most glaring aspect of the diet was the fact that some foods (all the ones I was eating) make your blood too acidic. This causes your body to try and counteract the acidity by stripping muscle and bone from your body. Seriously?? Not Good. I have been doing this for at least 5 years by following the Anabolic Diet.
Oh well, experience is the result of learning from your actions and correcting them accordingly.

I am taking today off from training. My hands and forearms are still sore from my "Trial by Fire" yesterday. The days off are helping a great deal with my recovery.

I am taking another day off today. I will train again tomorrow before the family heads to Las Vegas for 5 days. I have not figured out what I am going to do for training next week.

Day Off Tomorrow...
I need a day of rest and with a busy work day...tomorrow fits the bill. Next Saturday I am headed to Las Vegas with the family. I need to figure out my training schedule. I could probably use a few days off in a row but will figure something out. Maybe I will take my 15lb clubbell? Not a bad idea other than paying for the extra weight.

No Training & The Downside of Antibiotics!
I am wiped from the antibiotics to clear up my infected molar in front of the wisdom tooth. Crazy that medicine to make you better makes you feel like crap but that is a topic for another day. I am done with the medicine on Wednesday and may have to put off training until then. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow. Oh well - I have not taken multiple days in a row off in a long while. My body probably needs it.
When I feel better I plan on starting up with a 500 swing workout (20x25) just because. I got to talking about swings with my wife Fabiana and realized that swings are the first exercises you learn when starting kettlebell training and then the longer you have been training the less you do them. I have been obviously concentrating on snatches over the last 9 months (35,000 of them!) but plan on working swings in as well to keep my training simple.

Day Off & This Weekend's Carb Load...
I am taking my first day off from training today in two weeks. I plan on doing my "300" tomorrow with more lbs. I hope to go over 30,000lbs for my workout. My legs are fried from yesterday but it is a good soreness.
I have been pretty strict this week during the low carb phase and might try to eat very clean during my carb up phase this weekend: fruit, high fiber, lower fat instead of the all out eating spree that usually included alot of ice cream, pizza, french fries, etc. I am wondering what effect it will have on my body composition.
