Swings & Snatches...

I got my new Russian red 24kg bell. Good times! I put it to use this morning with a quick swing and snatch workout.

My training looked like this today:

Snatches - 24kg bell - 50 reps
Two Handed Swings - 24kg bell - 150 reps

Rob-like you, I made two rounds of the 15:15 and now am doing the 36:36, but with a 25 pound KB. I pulled back after rereading KJay's book, particularly where he references that the weight is less important than the form and the reps. Anyway, my hands needed a break, which was another motivating factor. Also, you might find this interesting: I am using jump roping with swings (1 minute fast jr followed by 15 2H swings (50 pound KB) followed by 30 seconds of rest. This equals one round. I have been doing between 15-20 rounds most of the time. After I finish this, I then do the mVO2. Today I got to 10 rounds of the 36:36, although I suspect when I return to the 35 pound KB, my reps will fall a bit.

I got to 21 sets of 18 with the 16kg bell. I will eventually go back to it but want to get 80x8 for a 3rd time and maybe even 80x9 before I go bakc to it.
