Hey Rob,
Ever use the total gym? Besides the infomercial stigma it is a pretty good piece of equipment. The same company makes a club piece called gravity as well. Whenever my body feels a little beat up I go back to it for upper body work. I find it best for lats, "abs", arms and some shoulder exercises. Since it works on percent of bodyweight I do not find it effective for lower body. You can probably pick up a used totalgym for cheap money online if you want to give it a try. BTW..are you certified as a personal trainer yet?

Ryan,

So it took me so long to repsond. I was on vacation last week and did not post. I will take a look at the total gym....have never heard of it. My wife just got certified as a trainer and it is on my list but I have not started the certification process yet. I did get certified by the american kettlebell club back in April and plan on opneing a personal training/kettlebell gym with my wife in the near future in the Framingham, MA area.

Ryan,
Vacations are good...My fiance and I are discussing opening up a place here in the Braintree area...just looking for the right location...I have a few personal trainer certs. And I am certified with USGSF as an instructor...I have most of the equipment I need but I am looking for the right space for the right price. Are you finding anything that suits your needs with size space and location? I am finding difficulty finding suitable space. By the way..I am going to Zach Even-Esh's kettlebell seminar and it looks to be fun.

My wife and I have not looked yet. She just got certified from AFTA and we are taking a kettlebell course with Anthony DiLuglio on Saturday (more for her but I need to brush up on my bell work). She is going to start training clients at the local Gold's first when the kids are at school and or day care and then we will go from there. I want to open a "Punch" gym in the Framingham area in the next 12 - 18 months.

Has she looked into the local Work Out World? The reason I ask is that they basically let you run your own business out of their gym. She pays them $300 a month she can do whatever she wants whenever she wants and sets her own prices. One problem I have with some gyms is that they dont really help a trainer get clients but take 60% of the trainers money and often would require me to work shifts.(WOW doesnt require anything..just pay them $300) Hopefully Gold's is good to your wife.
